I ordered these checkered golf flags for my outdoor putting green as the old flags have seen better days. Here in Florida, they only last a year or so in the sun before they are limp and faded. They still look ok but it really brightens up the green to see fresh flags on the pole.These are the standard 8x6 flag and are 3 x 3 squares that are printed on a white polyester material. The flag measures closer to 9" end to end. The image provided in the advertisement and product description show the flag is made up as double sewn small squares to make the flag. This is not that. This is a single piece of white fabric with printed squares. Not sure how long these will last but I will put them to the test and report back with photos how they age in the sun. The material is polyester so that should last. The stiffness of the material is not as stiff as the sewn squares which was a thicker and stiffer material.It is clear this manufacturing method (single white flag with print) is cheaper than sewing together lots of small pieces and that is why they probably went that way.These are roughly about 5 bucks per flag, while the individually sewn squares are about 8.50 per flag. I normally.I am giving these 4 stars for the simplistic construction. If they last longer than a year outside, I will move my rating up. At the moment, I am satisfied with this item but not overjoyed. The price is attractive though.4 stars
